Sometimes, it is important to start with the basics in order to understand the core fundamentals properly and practise them correctly. Our starting point is the tafsir of the Quran; here is the basic message of the Quran summarised in one sentence:
Life is very busy and most of our day is spent with worldly duties such as work, education and family. So, how does one go about thriving for a balance between Deen and Dunya? Well, just remember that everything we do in this world is for the akhira (hereafter) if your intention is right.
The 2-3 hours of technically free time we have in a day, we actually have some control over. How about we make the most of that free time? You can use this time productively towards increasing your Imaan and in the remembrance of Allah (SWT); you could recite the Quran, read something that will increase your knowledge, learn and memorise some Surah and Duas. Make a routine of this. You can live in this world and have a good time, and still earn your Jannah. InshaAllah.
Your Character and Piety comes from within your Heart and makes you who you are, and I strongly believe it is your biggest strength in Deen and Dunya. Always remember Education and Religion are two key fundamental things in life that go hand-in-hand and one should aim to continuously progress in both. This life is in preparation for the hereafter, the good deeds we do in this world, they bring with them bonuses in this world and the next world.
